Everyone that comes to visit us wants to take this little gem home with them! She has the most wonderful mellow yet loving personality I have ever met in a Shih Tzu.

Every dog we bring into our home must be treated with lots of love and attention and given the opportunity to grow and bond with the new parents in the same way they have bonded with me. These little ones should be taken directly to the new home and allowed time to get to know the family and new surroundings. They will need time to establish a relationship with the new family and it  must be done with the closest supervision possible. The commitment to get a dog does not stop at bringing it home, it is a lifelong one, the same as with our own children. I know the family that took Maddie that day is feeling the pain and sorrow of losing her. 

Although it was preventable, it was an accident.

Those of you that know me, know my dogs are such a big part of my life and I would do anything to protect them as much as I love them.  I am devastated by what happened and it will take a very long time to overcome my grief and the pain in my heart.

I will always remember my Sweet Madeline Rose

and know she is safe in heaven with my mother.
